The Data Immersed ("TDI", "we", "us", or "our") runs this website and community programs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, register for a cohort, join our waitlist, or contact us, and how we use and protect that information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

• Contact details such as your name, email address, and phone number
• Demographic details such as your country, state, and age group
• Background information such as how you heard about TDI, your expertise level, and your goals for joining
• Screenshots you upload to confirm you follow or have connected with us on social platforms (X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and proof of payment where a paid resource is part of registration
• Messages you send us through the contact form, including anything you choose to include in them

We also collect basic, non-identifying usage data through Vercel Analytics (such as pages visited and general location derived from IP address) to understand how people use the site. This analytics service does not use cookies to track you across sites.

How We Use Your Information

• To process your registration or waitlist entry and get you into the right cohort or track
• To email you about your registration status, cohort updates, and next steps
• To add you to cohort communication channels, such as a WhatsApp group, once you register
• To respond to messages you send through our contact form
• To improve our programs and this website based on aggregate usage trends

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How We Share Your Information

We share information with service providers who help us run the site and programs, including our email delivery provider (Resend), our hosting provider (Vercel), and, where applicable, backend tools used to manage registrations and waitlists. These providers only receive what they need to perform their service for us and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TDI, our community, or others.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as it's needed for the purposes described above, such as for the duration of your cohort plus a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your Choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop receiving emails from us, at any time by emailing info@tdimmersed.org.

Children's Privacy

Our programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
